Asset Guardian Solutions Limited raise money for SAMH in 2021 fundraising campaign
Published by Tina Campbell
Over the next three months, employees at AGSL will be taking part in several fundraising activities starting from today, 12th April 2021, to raise money for the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH). In an attempt to beat last year’s grand total of £3246, all employees will be stepping up their fundraising efforts.
Over the next two weeks, AGSL employees will be taking part in a two week personal challenge, such as running, cycling and walking a range of distances. This will be followed by Greg McAllister’s impressive cycle from John O’ Groats to Lands End starting on the 21st May 2021. Greg has been training hard over the last few months to prepare for this, and will be cycling a total of 948 miles, with support from AGSL and his sponsors.
To finish off all fundraising efforts, the team will then be taking part in an Inflatable 5k on Saturday 12th June, taking place at Strathclyde Country Park in Glasgow. The course will involve tackling up to 15 inflatable objects, including the world largest foam cannon.
Supporting SAMH
SAMH is one of Scotland’s oldest mental health charities, having been founded in 1923 to provide support to Local Associations for mental health. Today, SAMH provides more than 60 support services throughout the country, ranging from suicide prevention, peer support and homelessness, employment, horticulture projects and more.
AGSL are an official corporate partner to SAMH, and all year round employees strive to raise awareness of mental health by supporting the charity in whatever they can. It costs just £20 to run one support session with SAMH, where the charity can spend time with someone to help them in their recovery from mental ill health.
If you would like to support AGSL in fundraising for SAMH, you can access our JustGiving Page where you can make a donation of any amount. We will be updating our page with progress photos and videos along the way, so be sure to check it out!
We are grateful for any donations received.
